Welshot Does: Post Processing Your Images

Well I’ve just got back from two very full days at the Chester Crowne Plaza and my head is full!  A fantastic event with ten friendly delegates.  John Arnold did a fantastic job teaching us sooo much over the two days.  The first day we covered everything from importing into Lightroom, keyboard shortcuts, collections, filters, keywords, meta data, and numerous ways of editing.

Today we covered resizing images, colour spaces, exporting, presets and backing up.  We then had fantastic little play with Photoshop, creating layers, adjustment layers, making selections, and layer masks.  He showed us fantastic ways of thinking creatively and giving us the confidence to have a go ourselves.

Now I just need to keep using it all so I don’t forget.  We were so well looked after by the Crowne Plaza too with lovely lunches and endless supply of coffee, biscuits and sweets 🙂  Big thanks to John Arnold and Eifion for all the help and for being so patient, and to all the other delegates for being lovely company and great fun.

I was blown away on the Saturday session by John Arnold, the settings and tweaks I hadn’t found yet were vast. John is a great teacher, patient, good use of language even I could understand, quick to help individuals or use breaks for one to one’s, Eifion was on hand as well but John was the star of the show for me!!

I really learnt what my photography potential could be. Good technical advice including storage and when to bin photos, never apparently.

Crowned Plaza didn’t disappoint, biscuits and sweets all day! Fab food as well, with chips.
    Thanks John, Eifion and Lee
