At the April Welshot Photographic Evening based at the Holiday Inn, Ellesmere Port it is all about “Here Come The Girls” – and working with Off Camera Flash. In a creative way, using your camera, the lighting and posing your models, our Welshot Team Leaders will help you to make some wonderful portrait photography. Our Models will be wearing fashioned in trendy “Street Fashion” with accompanying accessories and you are guaranteed to get yourself a range of creative photographs for your portfolio. This Photographic Academy Evening is going to have it all, helping you to learn how to get the best from YOUR camera and working with models.
Street Photography – One of those photographic genres that scares most people to death but one of the most rewarding once you have learned how to use your camera and conquered your fear of photographing people – either in a candid way or otherwise. At this Welshot Photographic Academy Evening led by Derek Buick the Evening session will begin by having the “Theory” explained to you with from help setting your camera up to any questions you may have. This Street Photography event will take place in Chester – an ideal and compact location for you to be able to capture a wide range of images.
I thoroughly enjoy a bit of street photography and always carry a camera alongside my phone wherever I go. But I always struggle to get the shot. When I do it’s more by luck than judgement! So this event, the WelshotRewards Day – Chester at f1.8 was a reward too good to miss – street […]
Welshot Editorial Edge Liverpool 12th May 2018 – A Welshot Themed Photo-Shoot in Liverpool. Ok, so it’s Saturday Morning and we are in the Baltic Triangle of Liverpool for the annual Welshot Editorial Edge event. My first impressions are what a great location for a photoshoot. The decaying industrial landscape is slowly being taken over […]
So this is me on my modelling debut at the Welshot event “How to Pose a Model” and I have to admit I was not expecting to be “the wrong” side of the camera! But I have to say it was great fun and more importantly I got a taste of what it is like […]
So my fellow Welshoter’s I’ve just had a very informative hour and a half with Boss Tog (aka Eifion) all about lenses. I have had an Olympus EM-5 micro four thirds camera with a 45mm prime lens and a 14-150mm zoom for about six year and wasn’t really getting to grips with it until I […]
Early May and I’m off to Chester to meet Eifion for my one to one on the alien (to me at least) subject of “Learning Basic Studio Lighting”. Having focused (pun fully intended) mainly on landscapes due to an innate fear and lack of knowledge about all things flash, this event was going to be […]
Like everybody else, I turn up at Welshot events and Eifion has worked his magic with the lighting ready for us to start shooting. Let’s be honest, it really wouldn’t be practical for even the more knowledgeable of us to start doing our own thing with the lighting, and it lets us just concentrate on […]
A Welshot Does… Discover – Experience – Photograph Dubrovnik Adventure Excited though we were, the prospect of leaving home in the middle of the night for Manchester Airport was not something we relished. For me, it wasn’t too bad as I live closer than the others and so left home at 3.45 am thanks to […]
Do you love photography? You’re here reading this blog so I am betting you do. I am also betting that it’s a bit of an all consuming passion – almost obsessive and takes up a lot of your time, energy and thoughts as well as any spare pennies that you might have. I am also […]
