After the success of the 2018 “Shortest Night” we will, once again, be running this, not so short, non-stop night of photography. Circumnavigating Anglesey and Snowdonia” – starting in Llanberis with a picnic supper in the Evening and finishing at breakfast, both of which are included in the cost of this event. Shooting for nearly 15 hours solid. Most of the 2018 delegates are already pre-booked onto this event so spaces are already limited.
It is a bit of a challenge for Today’s WelshotReward Day – We are going to capture the three main lighthouses on Anglesey – Penmon, Llanddwyn Island and South Stack. This will be a day of landscape, seascapes, macro and nature photography, make sure you bring your filters if you’d like to give long exposures a shot. The aim is to be out all day and finish by capturing a a stunning sunset at either South Stack or Llanddwyn Island. Depending on the tides and weather conditions we will make the decision on the day in which order we shoot the last two lighthouses.
Perfect for the complete beginner – we will guide, support and help you every step of the way and you will get plenty of tuition – group and one to one.
So, charge your battery, grab your camera and come join us for some fun, laughter and photography at the beach.
At the Welshot Photographic Academy it’s all about being creative in the landscape with your camera and tonight is no exception. Tonight, we are in the picturesque location of Betws-Y-Coed where waterfalls, landscapes, quaint cottages and railway stations will provide you, the photographer, with some great locations to capture in your camera. From learning how to make a long exposure to blur the water of the numerous waterfalls we will be visiting to having a go at shooting for HDR when you photograph the beautiful buildings that are abound in the Conwy valley.
A brand new (to Welshot) photographic experience which mixes walking in the great outdoors with photography. Walking With Your Camera – guided by Helen Iles* has been specifically designed for those photographers who want to get into the beautiful Snowdonia National Park in North Wales to practice their Landscape Photography skills. From landscape to macro (close-up) to natural history photography – what could be better than a gentle stroll, along a river or a lake, and learning how to get the best from your camera. Helen will inspire, motivate and help you get the best from the day and like every Welshot there will be help, support and guidance to help you along the way.
Cwm Idwal – a 3 to 4 hour gentle hill walk taking in one of Snowdonia’s hidden gems, famous for its rock formations, plant life and stunning views of the lake. The lake is surrounded by the towering peaks of Glyder Fach, Glyder Fawr, Y Garn and across the valley, Pen Yr Ole Wen.
