Another WelshotRewards Day – A Members Only event that only WelshotRewards can purchase (indicated £’s will be converted to WelshotRewards at checkout) and this time we are in the Castlefields area of Manchester. An area full of history with so many photographic opportunities – from close-up and macro to scenes perfect for HDR. Today is all about learning how (or refreshing those skills) to use all your cameras main functions – concentrating on the “Exposure Triangle” – Aperture – Shutter – ISO… The three main components needed to take a photograph no matter what camera you use. By bringing them all together you will always be able to create an image that you have in your mind’s eye.
Off Camera Flash Photography, Wedding Dresses, Suits and Ties, beautiful backdrops in the stunning location of the Snowdonia landscape – it can only mean one thing… Frocks on Rocks (with Suits) is back! For the last time. This time our annual photographic extravaganza for 2019 is inspired by beautiful wedding gowns and suits. Our locations will be everything from waterfalls, lakes and rivers – starting in Betws-Y-Coed and finishing in Beddgelert – this fantastic day of photography is going to have it all for the photographer, beginner or advanced.
Tonight, at the Welshot Photographic Academy Evening in Beaumaris it’s all about shooting and making an HDR photograph. High Dynamic Range can be a useful skill and technique to learn and can be used in a variety of situations. If it is done correctly no one will even be able to tell your images/exposures have even been merged. Tonight, you will be learning how to shoot HDR around the quaint Village of Beaumaris, including the Pier itself – where you could, if you would like, practice your long exposures too. We will then head back, have our supper and refreshments and we will show you how to post process those images.
It is a bit of a challenge for Today’s WelshotReward Day – We are going to capture the three main lighthouses on Anglesey – Penmon, Llanddwyn Island and South Stack. This will be a day of landscape, seascapes, macro and nature photography, make sure you bring your filters if you’d like to give long exposures a shot. The aim is to be out all day and finish by capturing a a stunning sunset at either South Stack or Llanddwyn Island. Depending on the tides and weather conditions we will make the decision on the day in which order we shoot the last two lighthouses.
Perfect for the complete beginner – we will guide, support and help you every step of the way and you will get plenty of tuition – group and one to one.
So, charge your battery, grab your camera and come join us for some fun, laughter and photography at the beach.
Liverpool, specifically the Albert Dock, is the location for this Welshot Photographic Academy Mini-Module with a Masterclass, It is all about challenging yourself and your camera. By pretending you are working with film it will be about limiting yourself to 24 shots for the whole Afternoon of photography – no deletions allowed? – making sure you get it right in camera – FIRST TIME! If you are brave enough – cover your digital screen and stop yourself from chimping (looking at the screen) – whatever happens, it will be fun, you will learn a thing or three to add to your photographic and technical skill base.
Movement – and how to capture it in camera to give your photographs that dynamic WOW factor. Welshot is TEN and we are CELEBRATING!
Ten years ago the Welshot Photographic Academy was launched in Menai Bridge, Anglesey and since then we’ve gone on to launch Academy Evenings and Events in Chester, Manchester, Ellesmere Port and Liverpool. We’ve been everywhere from Hong Kong to Halifax, from Iceland to London, from Budapest to Cambridge – we’ve covered every photographic genre under the sun, from Mains Studio Flash to all night shoots on Anglesey and Paris, from Macro and Close-Up to capturing water drops – not to mention Landscape, Seascape and Nightscape sessions we’ve had. All these events have one thing in common – fun has been had, friendships have been made, photos have been created and techniques have been learnt – and all included CHIPS too!
