Welshot Landscape Workshops
One Day Landscape Workshop With Steve Lewis A.R.P.S
Saturday 15th November 2008
What could possibly be better than spending a day in the company of like-minded people, exploring and photographing one of the most spectacular landscapes in Britain, and guided by a photographer who knows it intimately?
Covering 838 square miles, Snowdonia contains a huge variety of landscapes; from 23 miles of coastline with sand dunes and estuaries, to glacial valleys, lakes, streams, mountains, and the broad-leaved woodlands of oak, ash, rowan and hazel.
We will be located in the spectacular Cwm Idwal in the Ogwen Valley, the gateway to northern Snowdonia, and the perfect base from which to explore the towering peaks, deep valleys, rivers, waterfalls and lakes that characterise this part of the park.
The day will commence at 9.30am meeting at the Ogwen Cottage Youth Hostel car park opposite Llyn Ogwen on the A5 road from Betws Y Coed to Bethesda. A map and further information will be sent to you when the booking form has been received.
The price includes a picnic lunch and all tuition. Photographers of all ages and abilities are welcome. Indeed, the mix of styles and abilities is what makes these photographic trips so informative and good fun.
To the untrained eye the landscape looks inhospitable and difficult, but in Snowdonia it is possible to get an impression of wilderness without strenuous climbing and walking. With Steve's extensive knowledge of the area you will be able to enjoy the evocative scenery without any forced marches! There will be some walking away from the car park and meeting area but the paths are always clear and well marked and of an easy nature.
You will need study walking boots/shoes, wet weather and warm clothing. Drinks will be supplied at lunch but feel free to bring your own cold or hot drinks should you feel you need more.
Of course you will also need your camera, tripod and enough film or memory to last you into the sunset should you wish to take the opportunity of capturing one.
This course is designed for film (large, medium or 35mm format) or digital camera users.
This is great opportunity to explore one of the finest landscapes in the UK in the company of a photographer who knows it intimately at a very special price. Normally the cost for a one day workshop would be £150 but for this day only it is just £30.00.
The number of places is limited to 20. To book your place, email lee@welshotimaging.co.uk to be pencilled in and ask for a Booking Form then send it with a deposit of £30.00 sterling.
