Learn how, why and when to use on camera flash to bring life to your images. Explore the different looks and effects that can be created and how you can master your flashgun.
The day starts with a breakdown of how flashguns work, what their constituent parts are and an explanation of what all the specifications mean.
We will then move on to look at the different modes available on a range of flashguns, what the settings mean and how you can use them to get the shot you want.
With a thourough understanding of the theory we will move on to the practical session of the day.
You will be working in small groups for the practical session.
We will start with looking at using your cameras own in built flash for fill when shooting into bright light and how to capture enough background light for natural looking images after dark.
Then moving onto external flashguns and looking at how to improve the quality of the light through the use of a variety of accesories and by bouncing the flash from ceilings or walls.
This will be followed by sessions on advanced techniques such as high speed sync, rear or second curtain sync and strobe effects.
Finally you will be shown how to take complete control of your image by shooting in maual mode and adjusting all the settings to your taste.
Numbers are restricted to 10 people.
Included is arrival refreshments, light lunch and all course notes in a specially designed workbook.
