What Will Happen

Grab your camera and join us on the Welshot Autumnal Nature Ramble – Photography at the RSPB Conwy Nature Reserve in North Wales, guaranteed to help ease out you of Summer and into Autumn while capturing the beauty from what can only be described as a stunning environment. The Conwy RSPB nature reserve is a wetland on the Conwy estuary, created from material dug out during the construction of the A55 road tunnel. It is now home to a variety of wildlife, and a great place for photographers and their cameras. there is always something to see and photograph, from landscape to macro, flora and fauna and, of course, birds. Your Welshot Masterclass will be learning how to work with light and shutter speeds to capture stunning compositions and movement.  

If birds are your jam then Autumn season is a great place to capture the Black-tailed godwit, Lapwings, Sedge warblers, Shelduck and Water rail. Water Rails feed in the open (keep an eye on the bird feeders too). Want to capture something a little different in your camera – catch the Carneddau ponies grazing nearby which helps to keep the habitat in good condition for orchids when they arrive.

Whether you are a beginner to photography, a photographer who would like to try a new genre, learn a new technique or skill, or, a more advanced photographer who wants to build their image portfolio, you will be made welcome, and we would love to help you get the best out of your camera.

The Welshot Team will be on hand throughout this Autumnal Nature Ramble – Photography at RSPB Conwy – Mini Module with Masterclass to assist and help you get the best from your camera, so you can leave at the end of this session with memory cards full of beautiful photographs and great memories having learned a thing or three about floral photography, lighting techniques and your camera.

Please Note: No food or drink is included in the price of this event. This event is a fully outdoor event – please make sure you come dressed appropriately. If Welshot decides to postpone this event due to bad weather conditions you will be given several options regarding your booking.

• Tripod / Cable release (your choice – monopod and beanbags are useful in the hide)
