Default Post YOUR Images - Get some Feedback - Ask a Question here

    Hi Everyone.

As promised we are creating a place you can come to talk about the Open Day that was held on Saturday 19th March in Y Felinheli.

Post your images from the day and ask for some feedback on an image you need help / advice with.

You can also ask a Welshot Team Leader a question and ask for some advice. Just post your question and someone will be along to help you

If you have a specific request for Welshot and how we can help you with your photography, please also leave a comment here and we will do our best to put it into acation.

Thank you once again for coming on Saturday, we had a ball and we hope that you did as well.

We look forward to seeing you in the future.

Lee & Eifion and the Welshot Team Leaders.

Here are some instructions on how to upload an image to this thread.

Upload a photo to the Welshot forum

    1) Create a new post or reply in advanced mode - (this wont work in quick reply).

    2) Click on the paper clip icon on the top row of the text box editor tools.

You'll see photos you've uploaded in the past. Double click on one of these photos to insert again, or to upload a new photo......

    3) Click 'Add Files' top right corner

    4) Click Select Files

    5) Browse to your image and click open. I recommend uploading an image 640x480, but its up to you.

    6) Once you've finished adding photos for upload, click "Upload Files"

    7) Drag and drop the image you want placed in the post from the top box to the bottom box.

    8) Click Insert Attachment or Insert Inline.

Insert Attachment displays a small thumbnail that users can click to make large.
Insert Inline displays the full sized (uploaded) image in the post.

I hope all you guys had a great time time on Saturday at the welshot open day.
Hopefully I was a half decent Team Leader and all you enthusiastic photographers managed to to decipher my ramblings
Here are a couple of images of Sophie that I took when demonstrating and explaining in my own way, what we were aiming for. Also there are a few random handheld shots of the food there.
If you have any questions about the module please feel free to ask. I`m here to help!

Thought you all may like to see the Group Photo that you all so kindly indulged me with - minus the bus

Thank you all for a brilliant day - it was a pleasure to meet each and everyone of you and I hope that you all took at least one thing home with you that will help in your Photography.

Really looking forward to seeing all the images that you took on the day, post them up and if you have any questions someone will be around to help you.

We'll stick a proper big version up when I come for a natter tomorrow.

I'd just like to echo Lee and Tony's comments and say what a joy it was to see you all really enjoying the day and hope to see you again soon.

I didn't take much in the way of shots so I'd love to see some of yours.

    Hey Alan.

I love the way you have processed the images of Soph, they are really great and I am sure she will love them to bits. Carol will like hers as well from the studio shoot.

Love your flower image, had to think for a moment what module that was from but it was from Pearl's set up wasnt it.

Keep em coming guys and gals, we all love seeing them and it is about YOUR Photography not ours, we all get such a kick out of seeing the work that you produce and are producing from all you have learnt.

    Thank you Alan for sharing

Great day full of things I don't normally do or have never done.
    Well what did I learn?
    Gold reflector - Wow
Food photography - try diff angles and crops, but don't go too shallower DoF as too much of the food is out of focus
Portraits are not scary - HONEST - mostly

    Hey Yvonne and Gail.

Well done. these are brilliant and I am pleased to see that you both took other images other than the obvious. I even like the ones of me!!!

Thank you for taking the time to share these with the Team and with others. We were very lucky with the weather, Sunday was horrid here....

Next Open Day being planned for June in Llandudno

Don't forget, we do things like this on Academy Evenings as well and now that we are going to be having lots of lovely daylight and sunshine we are planning lots of exciting things.

I found the Creative Thinking - very interesting
I devour the weather forecast, tides, sun position etc and then go out and take photos, I naturally think in 1/3rds and compose without having to think things out, so suddenly having to think - not shoot in 1/3rds and then constrain yourself further by shooting high or low was hard work on the brain - so here is my attempt
This young girl very kindly came into frame and started imitating what every one else was doing

John's sessions always have people scratching their heads in a good way. He always pushes you to work that bit harder and push on.

That little girl had begged her mother all day to be allowed to come and play with us. She was finally given her camera in the afternoon when we were all outside together.

See, Photography is fun, is passionate and something that I have always known... Tis ADDICTIVE.... And you catch the bug almost instantly

    Keep em coming guys.
