    Hi Steward,

Just wanted to thank you so much for Donna Nook! I thoroughly enjoyed it and I'm happy to say that despite my camera problems, every one of my photos came out even though some of my manual focusing wasn't quite accurate. Yippee! Thanks so much for your help and advice, it was invaluable and helped me get some nice images.

By the way, although my camera is in for repair, I managed to loan a 40D from where I bought it from and am now a proud owner of the excellent 7D as I had a really good deal from that nice man in Cambrian Cameras!

Thanks once again and I'm looking forward to Donna Nook next year!!

    Chris.

Glad you enjoyed the weekend. I had a good time as well. It was good that we went on the 2nd day as the weather turned out to be better than the saturday. Let me know how you find the 7d when you have played with it.

Sorry for late reply! Yes the weather was much better on the 2nd day and I'm so happy we went back as I think my images were better than the previous day and certainly the weather was much better. Thanks again so much for all your help and advice and I shall be going back next year without a doubt!

I haven't used the 7D much but I used it on my first professional job and extremely happy with it. You can crop into it quite drastically without losing detail and it's got some great addtions to the previous models. I like the way it feels and the buttons are in a better position, particularly the on/off switch. It has a rather fancy built in spirit level that looks like something you'd find on a plane control. I like the way you can also change the viewfinder display without having to buy another focusing screen, it's easy to change it how you want it and there are a lot more focusing points which are really easy to move and are more accurate. It's also the first Canon with a radio transmitter built in that can fire a speedlite that's hidden from view and it works well as I've tried it! It's also fast at 8fps, though I haven't tested that properly yet. All in all, I'm extremely happy with it and glad that I bought this one instead of the 5D, so I would happily recommend it to anyone thinking of buying one. Happy New year to you and hope that it brings happiness, good health and success for 2010!
