Really nice review of the evening Steve, especially like the fact my tumble off the wall was left out :D
Thanks for the kind comment on the sunset pic as well, look forward to seeing what you get...
I'd also give the Blackrapid a thumbs up, very handy indeed
All makes sense to me and is standard practice for good SEO (search engine optimisation).
In essence, the more (good!) content you have, and the more people that link to it, the higher up the...
You would need to attach a bigger version of the image Mark, far too small to read that one to make any judgement on the info contained within it
I have a Nikon one for sale too if anyone interested in giving the nifty fifty a whirl, see my post in the 'for sale' sub-forum ;-)
I got myself one after the Aspire course I went on with Will, use it all the time now, very useful.
Went for the Wacom Bamboo Pen&Touch, reasonably priced and a decent enough size without being...
Agree with all of the above, no place in today's society for narrow-minded people like you describe, there's plenty of potential clients out there, if someone doesn't like it, dump them as a client...
Thought I would give the Welshot gang first dibs on this before I put it on eBay. Got a now no longer needed Nikon 70-300mm VR lens to sell, great condition, boxed, and will chuck in a Hoya...
Hi Gavin,
Do you know what it is that is wrong with your existing one? Is it completely dead?
As for a new one, would be helpful to know your budget if you don't mind sharing that?
Yep! Was toying with idea of getting one anyway so was good to try it out beforehand, that sealed the deal.
May need to factor in a new hard drive though as well, images it produces are huuuuge!
Hi All,
Was fortunate enough to win a Nikon D3200 couple of weeks ago for taking part in a studio day for Digital SLR magazine and have just taken delivery of it.
Great entry level DSLR...
Or you could turn the camera 45 degrees in either direction and everything becomes a diagonal :-)
5 stops worth of VR so I believe, which seems a lot to me?
I think were I looking at this particular zoom range though, I'd be inclined to save the extra and go for the f/2.8 still
It's a nice portrait, the things that stand out immediately to me is I personally think the crop is a little too tight, makes the image look a little busy. Also the lighting across her nose, could do...
Can't really help with the processing, sure Zoe will be able to give you some tips, I tend to tweak every image I do individually, spending far, far longer on each one than a professional...
I'd not heard of Squarespace before but looks pretty impressive, and not too expensive either, maybe worth a try? Seems you are not committed for anything longer than a month either.
Other options...
Gave me some inspiration this evening to try a few more very similar shots out, weather looking a bit rubbish today so went and bought some flowers and dusted off the macro lens....

Were your friend's that looked at the shots also the clients for this particular shoot? If not, what did the couples say about the images?
I don't know anywhere near enough about posing to comment...
It appears it won't affect the consumer brands of either company (for now!), looks like they are going to be working on medical imaging technology of which Olympus are a market leader, and at present...
I really like first one, it's all subjective of course but I like that the lines are not completely straight or exactly on the thirds, never one for conforming me! Only thing that I think could have...
Nope, just natural light that one, wasn't happy with the ones where I had used the UV torch, needs quite a bit of experimenting to get right I think
Here's a couple of mine, went a bit mad with the Gerbera's :)

Not used them myself before, but they seem to get good reviews from previous customers ->...
It's either yet another pricing screw-up from Nikon, or they have realised this was never going to sell when it was priced so near to the D800, either way, a truly bodged launch again!
