I have just bought some lamps from Wilkinsons in Holyhead, priced at £4.50 each.
They are similar to the ones that Chris Noble used on one of our Wednesday night Academy modules with his table top studio.
I know that a few members have had difficulty in finding lamps of this type.
If you go onto the Wilkinson Website they are there, along with the replacement Quartz halogen bulbs at £1.94 for a pack of two.
Hope you find this helpfull.

Good find Eifion. I will be working near Holyhead next week so I may pick up some. I enjoyed the evening and got better results than I expected from this type of light. My son-in-law gave me his old lamps, but not his light tent. Thanks again, Dave Mills.

Hello Dave :)
We have eight of the lamps here, as a foundation member you get the benefit of having the loan of some of our gear and equipment insterad of having to purchase it yourself if you think you won't use it again, or just want to "Try" before you buy sort of thing.
Let me know if you would like to try them out before getting them yourself and you can (but we will be needing them for the Open Day if it rains..... )
This goes for books, cd's, and a whole other gamut of things we may have that foundation members only need once in a blue moon.
Let me know
Lee :)

A very kind offer. Thank you. Perhaps I could see what you have at the office next time I'm in PD.
I may ask to borrow a couple of lamps to try out with a home made diffuser tent using drafting film (a plastic version of tracing paper). If it works OK I can pass the info on.
Dave.
