By bringing together the many skills knowledge and experience along with a variety of teaching methods of more than one Welshot Imaging Team Leader this provides YOU with all the help you could possibly desire to help YOU get the best from YOUR Camera.

Days Hotel Chester North CH5 2HX Formerly Gateway to Wales Hotel

Thursday 16 June 2011 from 18:30 to 0:00

All we can say that tonight is all about Challenges in your Photography, the way you use your camera, the way you think, the way you use your creative-ness, the way you work as a team and some artistic license to produce a great "FUN" image to take your team to the winning photographic finish line.

Tonight you will learn how to:

* Work as a Team which will help you learn how others think photographically, how others use their camera, share knowledge and help others with thier camera and photography skills and develop your own "Photography Box" of ideas.

* Learn different techniques - photographically and creatively.

* Learn how to work within a brief / commission with a minimum amount of information and bring it to fruition.

* Learn how to work with the props you are given.

Tonight, your team will be given a box of "Props" and you will, as a team, need to draw / outline a concept of an image creating a scene.

You will then create that scene and photograph it, with the aim being it is to represent something real..... !!!

You will be given notes, handouts and there will be the "New Welshot Imaging Visualisation Boards" to give you plenty of ideas and inspiration.

CLUE: All props will be in miniature and you are welcome (and encouraged) to bring that you may like to add to the prop box. (think Railway Model items)

After you have created and photographed your teams scene you will then have a turn at photographing the other teams work.

Lens suitable for this are MACRO - Long Zoom lens to pull the scene in (another clue indicating that the scene will be small)

We have a Macro Nikon lens that is available for use on this evening.

6.30pm - Register and get yourself a drink from the bar. Mix and Mingle with others.

7.00pm - Design your scene and outline the concept - Photograph your scene

8.00pm - Full Buffet Supper

8.30pm - Continuation of the Photographing of the scene's

10.00pm - Close

Any Props in miniature that you may have (think Railway Model items)

Camera, Battery and Spare Battery

Memory Cards / Film

Tripod

Remote / Cable release if you have one.

Suggestion of lenses: Macro, Close-Up Lenses, Long Zoom.

Notebook and Pen

An Open Mind, a willingness to try new things, share with others and have fun while you learn.

Unfortunately I can't make this one, I have to go off on holiday for a week.

Such a hard life :)

Looking forward to seeing the results though.

Sorry I can't make this one either, I'm away with work on a 'team building' event, shame as I'd much rather learn team building skills with some other photogs. Like Keith I look forward to seeing what everyone else comes up with on the night though :)

I am REALLY looking forward to seeing the images guys. From what I could see on the back of the cameras last night they are going to be fantastic.

Well done you all for getting stuck in and being so creative - it gave me such a buzz to see you all working together - being creative (even though I am slightly concerned about what the nature of the scenes say about you lol ;) ) and then taking some great pics.

Thanks for leaving me some skittles :)

Lee :)

Welshot Tabletop Workshop - Lots of fun with all the little Models. Thanks Lee for spending a fortune on all the props. I have a confession, I ate some props - I was hungry and had some sausages.
