can anyone give some simple steps to help me calibrate my monitor please? i have vista and CS3. i rarely print but sent some christmassy snaps (for the 'royal jones' cards) to photobox and they came back with a real red/orangy tinge to them.
i have tried right-clicking on the desktop to select 'properties' but the option is not there.

Whta device are you using to calibrate your monitor? Also calibrating a monitor won't necessarily help with prints as you need to make sure you are using the correct printer/paper profile (can probably be supplied by those who do your prints).
I am sure Joan can help you with this.

If you bring your files in to us or email them we will print them so that you can compare with prints from Photobox, remember as a Welshot member you get 10% discount, did you send files straight off of the camera or did you do anything to them in any software, were they SRGB or RGB 98 profile?
The Photo Imaging team is experienced in all aspects of digital and traditional image processing so can offer practical advice to help get the best
from your camera and digital files and as frequent winners of the Gold Fuji Image Service annual Award our print quality is second to none.
We have set up guides for prints via our Fuji Frontier and for via our Epson pro large format printer.

hi all
this is the second time i have tried to reply to these posts (an indication of my skills???)
i used CS3 to process the images and they were sRGB.
i tried to calibrate my monitor following the article in the november issue of Digital Camera (page 53) but i didn't get the option of 'properties' when i right-clicked on the desktop.
the colormunki looks great but i can't justify buying it right now.
i have looked at photoimagingwales, joan, but i can't see a link to send images for print?
thanks for the replies, carol

Carol, ring us in the New Year. Eif might be able to help with the calibration for you, we have a Spyder.
Lets see if we can get this sorted for you. I am here alone right now and you know me, as much use as Ti... on a Bull ;) and Im not sure if Joan is around.
But if you phone Eif in the office on Monday (or if you are coming to the mini module) he could sort something out for you.
Hope this at least helps to know we are trying to get this sorted for you. Dont despair :)
Lee :)
