Hi,
I am looking at upgrading my system, purely because I find juggling around the menus on Photoshop gets a bit frustrating for me. I understand that a graphics monitor from Apple would cost £600 and I just don't have that kind of cash. Does anyone know of any alternative large (good quality) graphics monitors that are compatible with a Mac. Then is there any chance of borrowing a calibration device?:please:

O.k. so I found out today that the Apple monitors, latest movie quality 24" are only 2* as far as pro monitors Go and at £624 are not a good way to go. I was given this site www.colourconfidence.com but warned that the prices were a bit frightening :D

I'm not a mac user not sure on compatibility but I don't see why they shouldn't drive any monitor?
LCD tech has matured quickly over the last few years and whilst you will still pay upwards of £600 for the very high end there are very good IPS panels for around £300 now. All depends just how good the display has to be and how many pennies you have. If you're looking for professional grade gear then it's going to cost more than that apple screen.
I believe NEC and Eizo are well regarded and I've always found the dell screens to be reasonable.

Thanks Paul,
I might get some help getting it as I really spent too much getting my Mac up to a good spec but it is still only a laptop. Here's hoping.
When i was working we always used to rate Del stuff quite highly but that was more CAD stuff. I thought they only did full packages and didn't do much advertising. So you could only buy a Dell from Dell.
I quite like the look of the 24" Eizo, might get a Colour Monkey too and calibrate my screen and printer. We just learned how to reset the colour space on our Cameras today so that it is more compatible with PS and we learned how to set up Colour settings on PS too. First week and wow, I learned so much.
