Apparently there is a Balloon Festival on at Llangollen 28th too and on the Saturday night there may be fire works, however the link to the web site for it was broken so I am awaiting confirmation.

I was planning to go to Copper fest at Amlwch too but I think I will stick to North East Wales and the Wirral next weekend.

So not sure really what's happening there.

Copperfest is always good for getting close to the subject, a 70-200 will get you tight headshots. Just no names there this year but ideal for trying a bit of band photography.

Think you will find the balloon 'festival' is part of the Great Llangollen Weekend event on 4/5th Sept :)
