Whilst looking through various bits of photographic trivia i came across this bit of interesting information.
If any of our members have recently bought one of these lenses please check the serial numbers and follow the information below :
APO 50-500 F4.5-6.3 DG OS HSM serial numbers between 10633051 and 10972000
APO 120-400 F4.5-5.6 DG OS HSM serial numbers between 10574001 and 10972000
APO 150-500 F5-6.3 DG OS HSM serial numbers between 10674301 and 10972000
Some of the above lenses may have auto focus defects.
Sigma are offering an inspection service and modification if required free of charge, only some of the above lenses may be affected but if you are concerned about your recent purchase, and it falls between any of the above serial numbers please contact Sigma on this number 01707376795. They will arrange collection at no cost to you and return it to you with the minimum of delay.
