Can anyone give me any advice about polariser filters?
I've not really used them before, I've been asked to take photos of a brewery, apart from the place been made of glass I'm also having to take pictures of dark beer bottles, I don't really want any of my reflection holding a camera, and yes I know I can stand back alittle.

I've occasionally used them to reduce or remove reflections in metallic and glass surfaces. I just turn the polariser until the reflections are damped down enough. Moving to the side to change the angle between subject and light source can also have an effect. They work really well on things like watch faces, bottles and water.
Eif's out this morning but I'll ask him to chip in with his thoughts as well when he gets back. In the mean time I found this which might give you some pointers

Hello John.
Eifion can spend sometime with you on Thursday going over this as well. :) Will you be using product tents and lighting. If you let him have all the information then he can be better prepared and bring it along on Thursday evening for you.
We did this sort of thing on a Chester Academy Evening and maybe we could look at doing it again.
Lee :)
