Academy Evening: Anglesey.
Location: Anglesey Arms Hotel, Menai Bridge LL59 5EA .
Evening Leaders: John Arnold of Photowalkthrough.com and Eifion Williams
Date & Time: Wednesday 30th June 2010. 6.30pm – 10.00pm
Price: Academy Member £15.00
Non Academy Member £20.00
Tonight you will be learning to not only use your camera but also your “seeing eye” in a creative and different way. You will be working with group members to achieve a selection of images that will form the second module of the evening.
On arrival you will be given a topic, this will tell you what group you are in for the evening. Each group will be given a different topic / subject / set of rules and assignments and as a group you will need to work together and individually capture a series of images.
The first part of the evening will take place outside so please bring appropriate clothing. You will be shooting in JPEG format ONLY.
Walking around the various locations of Menai Bridge you will capture the images set down in your group assignment.
After your return to the Hotel for your supper, all the images will be downloaded and during the second part of the module John Arnold will be helping you to use your constructive eye to learn about not only the way YOU take an image but also how others see and record their own images. This will help you think and see images in a different way and also plant ideas into your head for future reference. This will lead on to a more formal project that we will be talking part in over the coming months. Which will eventually lead to a Welshot Imaging Photographic Exhibition.
Please bring your flash gun and tripod if you have one and a variety of lenses should you have them.
Supper will be included and will be at 8.30.
Numbers WILL be RESTRICTED and you must register online to confirm your attendance, on or before Friday 25th June
(unless you have made prior arrangements). Attendees who have not registered will not be admitted to this evening as plans will have been made based on numbers registered.
