Does the idea of using strobes (flash), in your images make you cringe? Not sure how to use strobes off camera or indeed on camera? Then this is the course for you.


Jayce Clarke will walk you through the whole process from basic levels of on and off camera flash all the way up to the advanced levels of colour balance and multiple strobe setups.


Summary of the day.
10am Start - A brief introduction with tea and coffee provided.
10.15am - Basic functions of a flash.
10.30am - On camera flash.
11.00am - Off camera flash (Using wireless triggers)
12.00pm - An intro into how light is controlled with strobes


12.30pm – Lunch is provided and you will be able to pre order your food before hand.


13:30pm - Cover all bases.
13.45pm - Practical workshop begins - This is where you all put into practise what you have learned, don't worry I and the Welshot team will be there to answer any questions that you have. There will be two models provided for this workshop providing you with plenty of chance to shoot some great fashion portraiture images. There will also be a chance to shoot the models outside in a range of situations.


17.00pm - Conclusions and final words


* From 13.45pm onwards members will have time to discuss any comments and suggestions, plus be able to take a break when not shooting.


What will you need to bring.
This is very much a hands-on workshop, even the morning tutorial will have an element of camera holding and setting changes. so the following items would be useful.


Camera (Plus full battery and memory card)
Strobe(s)/Flash(s) (Plus batteries)
Compatible Wireless triggers (for your make of camera), if you have them (You can use your own if you wish to get use to them)
*Tripod, light shaping tools (Umbrella, softboxes, etc), are all optional.


Important Note
If any Sony/Minolta users are interested you will need to have the correct
wireless trigger fit for these cameras, please advise on booking.
