and inspired by this I went out and got this at the weekend

I was quite happy with that but think it may be a little overexposed, it was pitch black up there and yet the street lights from miles away still lit up the sky given a few minutes. The star trails are a little bit on the straight side, I did try and get an angle with the north star in to form some rings but wasn't happy with the results. Will definitely be trying again soon.

I think both photos are brilliant, well done! I need to get out more!

this was mine from the night. it was a really good session and learnt alot!
