Hello Everyone :)

We are starting to finalise the details for the Gateway to Wales Hotel Academy Evenings.

Like we do at the Anglesey Arms we will be having two groups taking part in a "Practical Module" and another learning Module and then moving to the other module after the supper break.

We are thinking that a couple of studio set-ups, complete with models and lighting will be the main "Practical" module and that the other module will be a "learning" lecture, yet to be formalised.

You will need your cameras as per usual.

The evening will start at 6.30pm and the price for Academy members is £15 and £20 for Non Academy Members.

A full, hot buffett will be provided at a break between the modules.

Like the Anglesey Arms we will have no formal end time of this evening, we aim to run until about 10.00 - 10.30 but if people are still working then we will keep going :)

You will need to register your place on this evening.

Lee :)

Just to let you know that the Welshot Imaging Photographic Academy will be holding its new Academy Evening at the Gateway to Wales Hotel on Tuesday 17th November. The evening starts at 6.30pm.

During the course of the evening there will be two modules taking place.

How to prepare for a “Nature” shoot with Steward Ellett. This will take the form of a lecture with images showing you not only some superb nature photography but will also give you all the know-how of getting those images yourself, from what equipment you need to actually how to get that all important image.
Learn how to use a studio and lighting set-up. Complete with Models, you will be shown how to use lighting, flash, reflectors. This is a totally practical module and the emphasis will be on YOU taking and capturing the images in YOUR camera.

You will need to bring your camera, enough batteries and memory cards, notebook and pen and a thirst for learning while you have fun.

The evening starts at 6.30pm and after you have completed your first module there will be a full buffet supper and refreshment before you start your second module. We aim to finish at around 10.00 – 10.30 but we do not adhere strictly to this and will continue as long as needs be for you to get the most out of the evening.

The cost is £15.00 for Academy Members and £20.00 for non Academy Members. For more information on the Academy Membership package please email lee@welshotimaging.co.uk (lee@welshotimaging.co.uk)
