Angela Barnett has always been drawn towards the magical and the mystical. Angela has a natural love of wild and rugged landscapes and the Old beliefs and legends attached to such places.
Angela can see the world around her more through the eyes of Tolkien's Middle Earth than the 21st centaury chaos that we live in, and this is what Angela's aim is in trying to capture in both her Artwork and her Photography......the Mystery of Celtic Britain.
Human beings may have shaped and polluted a lot of this Island, but we are just passing through time and the earth will endure long after we have gone. It is this strength and majesty that she sees when standing in the Highlands of Scotland or the valleys of Wales with her camera.
Angela's love of the changing seasons and the Old Celtic Festivals and Celebrations attached to the wheel of the year. They give a sense of the magical all year round....... from the silver frosts of Winter Solstice to the green fertile bounty of Mayday. Angela's artwork reflects the "Old" ways, some still honoured and celebrated in corners of rural Britain.
Having already had several Artworks and Photographs published in books and magazines this is something Angela would like to do more of. Angela would also like to do more work in CD/Book cover design or illustrating for story books.
Angela's ultimate ambition is to write and illustrate her own book of the Celtic year and the changing seasons.
Angela Barnett would also like to see a collection of her Mystical images available for sale as greetings cards and calendars , as feels there is a big gap in the market for such images. People seem to need a touch of magic in their lives now more than ever before.
