Steve Lewis

Genre:

An Associate of the Royal Photographic Society, Steve has been photographing the landscape of Britain for over 20 years. Closely associated with the Snowdonia National Park in particular, his knowledge and understanding of the area allow him to produce images unrivalled in their portrayal of the ephemeral light and wild atmosphere of that special part of the world. His work is an intimate and lovingly crafted celebration of British wild landscapes.

Steve's work sells worldwide through a variety of media, including image libraries, prints, books, and a range of greetings cards produced in association with Joe Cornish Galleries. He is a regular speaker at photographic societies and other groups with an affinity for the landscape, and a regular contributor to the national photographic magazines. He hosts photographic workshops around the U.K. for both Welshot Imaging and the photographic holiday company Light & Land.

A keen advocate of large format cameras, he feels that the incredible detail and superb tonal quality these cameras produce are the perfect vehicle for the light, colour, tone and texture which characterise his work.
