My interest in Photography started in the early 1980’s when I was involved with Motorcycle Clubs and I used to race. During the season I became the unofficial photographer to record the events of the day. My camera at the time was an old Voigtlander Vito B, a gift from my father, who was the instigation for my passion in photography. Very basic by today’s standards but it did the job.
I began working as a wedding and portraiture photographer in the early 1990’s. Still using film at this time, I used to be a regular wet darkroom worker; making black and white prints and loved the thrill of seeing an image develop on the paper.
I began using medium format cameras for my portrait and studio work about six years ago, of which I still like to use, especially in black and white work. I have undertaken and completed a number of courses in photography and keeping up with the latest developments and training plays a very important role within my work.
Four years ago I decided to turn to digital and I mainly work with Nikon equipment. This has led to a whole new area of expertise and I’m continually developing and training to keep up with today’s technology. Given the latest in computer systems and programmes the possibilities are endless and I am, more than ever, excited and passionate about photography and producing the very best image I can.
I am, however, of the strong belief that the image needs to be made in the camera correctly in the first instance and I work hard to ensure that the client, whether it is a portrait, wedding or a product image is completely satisfied and happy with the final image. To me, the client is the most important part of this business.
I look forward to helping you get that perfect image that has been created just for you.
