Yesterday Eifion and I took a day out of the office to catch up with someone who we admire, respect and value immensely, within Welshot Imaging and personally.
We met John Arnold in the early part of 2009 at a Photographic event and the moment I realised that I was actually listening to an Adobe Lightroom lecture AND enjoying it (which meant I was taking it all in*) was the moment I decided I wanted to get to know this man I have now come to value and trust. Without even talking to Eifion, I just jumped in feet first and asked him to be a part of what we were trying to build and achieve with Welshot Imaging and the Photographic Academy.

Over the last week Eifion has been burning the midnight oil.
He has had the hard task of judging 100 + images for Blaenau Ffestiniog Camera Club. All I can say is WOW, some of the Photography that is being produced by that Photographic Club is just superb.
Crisp, clear, sharp, well composed, and vibrant colours all contributed to the, very hard to judge, Landscape Images. The subject matter was Landscape by the way. And those images had it all. From Snow and Mountains to Frozen Rivers and Lakes.

On this lovely morning in Y Felinheli as I have been sitting in my office watching with enjoyment the boats go in and out of the Dinorwic Marina, I almost felt in holiday mode. What would have made it even more perfect was a “Nice Bistro Lunch” in the sunshine I was thinking to myself. Just then, in rushed Eifion telling me to lock up the office and to get myself over to Yr Hen Lechan because he had been told to eat the sumptuous delights that he had been photographing for them…
